Iceland: Don't expect an increase in fish supplies to
Grimsby
UNITED KINGDOM
An Icelandic seafood expert has warned Grimsby not to
expect increases in supply to the town.
Jonas Vioarsson, research group leader at the Icelandic
food and biotechnology research and development institution
MATIS, said: "We shouldn't expect an increase in supplies
to Grimsby Fish Market.
"That is because some of the biggest supplies have been
bought up by larger seafood processing plants in Iceland
and they are looking at their own protection."
He said there were opportunities for processors to buy from
the Icelandic 'viral' market, with Russian and Norway
supplies flagged up
